How can we improve Zappiti?

  1. Playing a dvd file struct (VIDEO_TS) I have not found how to step to next/previus chapter. I should be implemented.

    All older software players like Argosy, xtreamer etc. do that fine.
    I have 7 Tb of movies and concerts. 2/3 of them are VIDEO    TS structs.

  2. IOS - Zappiti Video App for Apple TV so other room can enjoy the GUI

    I like the Zappiti video application on my Apple TV so when not in the theater room I can still use the same gui my family has learned to use so I don’t need to use Emby anymore

  3. extra theme

    Really need to a an extra theme, at least on extra, instead of the red theme.

  4. Exclude videos by duration from identification

    It would be great to exclude short length(samples, etc.) videos from identification,
    which are less than 5 minutes for example.

  7. trailer choice

    The movies that I don't want to have a trailer with will randomly start a trailer.
    Can this be adjusted because with a 2-d film sometimes the trailer of a 3-d film starts and that is just not the intention.
    You must be able to manually choose whether you want a trailer for a movie or not.

  8. Anywhere That I Can "Test Drive" the Zappiti?

    Hi. My name's Dennis. I would like to try the Zappiti out in person to see how it handles different file types, both audio and video, before I buy it but I don't think there's anywhere within 50 miles of me that has it on site. Could you verify that for me?

  10. [RC] New Control4 driver for Neo/Reference/Signature

    Please update or create a new Control4 driver for the new player models.
    Including ON/OFF functionality and with the ability to re-program some buttons on the C4 remote control, with any function available (for red, green, yellow, blue,guide, page up, page down, prev, dvr, rec, *, #, ch up, ch down, info, menu buttons).

    I know, that there is a drive available which has those functions, but honestly, I've paid more than 1k for the player and I was under the impression that a new driver would be available at launch. I don't want to pay 200€ just for a…

  11. [Personal Videos] Remove icon when displaying text due to no picture

    Since users load Home Movies and Drone Videos (among so much else) via the cool Personal Videos feature, they may choose to differentiate the video by a relevant caption rather than an image. And, it is nice that the system displays the caption (i.e., the filename) for a Personal Video when no picture is assigned :-) However, the system also displays a "projector" icon behind the text that makes it hard to read. There is no value for this icon when text is being displayed, so it should be removed

  13. Offer compatibility w/ WiFi 6 USB adapter with antennas to utilize WiFi 6 speeds

    The new WiFi 5 routers ASUS RT-AX86U can almost stream full 4K Blu-ray rips with just the occasional hiccups on my Zappiti 4K HDR, but there are WiFi 6 adapters for PC & laptops that allow use of higher speed WiFi 6 with software. If you could make it compatible with Zappiti we might be able to stream full 4K Blu-ray!

  15. [Feature] Quick toggle for subtitles when necessary

    Several people have already posted suggestions relating to the problem of short pieces of movies being in a foreign language and not coming up on the subtitles. If this cannot be fixed or fixed easily, then it would be nice to have a quick toggle button (I use RTI, but any IP or IR control) to turn on our preferred language subtitles instead of having to fumble with the menu and turning on the right language, and then of course having to do the same to turn it off, taking away from the enjoyment of the movie.   17. [Export] Add Release Year and Categories

    The Export would have more value if it would include the "Release Year" to differentiate movies that we have with the same name (but different release year) and the "List of Related Categories" especially to assess if there are items with no Category assigned, since many of us only browse our collections through the Categories module

  18. I would like your New skin.but I would love improvements to the way one edit's Groups

    The Home Page would be even better if one's groups and titles would show up like Netflix or HBO max Groups that have a lot of titles are troublesome to scroll though It would be better if one had the option of pages with all the tiles in the group displayed as small covers would be great ,(much Like files in TV folder show up) The Home page would be nice if you could add a image
    to a category you created So a little picture of Paul McCartney would link to all you McCartney videos ect

  19. [Integration] Voice Commands

    Hello,
    With the help of your service tech Chris, I can use my Zappiti with a keyboard. Here is an improvement consideration.

    How about giving the Zappiti the ability to respond to voice commands? Such as asking the player to locate a particular movie or song. The Zappiti maybe used with the Amazon Alexa or Google Home. I have an extensive move library. This, like the keyboard, would be perfect. Thank you.
