How can we improve Zappiti?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

  1. IOS - Zappiti Video App for Apple TV so other room can enjoy the GUI

    I like the Zappiti video application on my Apple TV so when not in the theater room I can still use the same gui my family has learned to use so I don’t need to use Emby anymore

  2. Playing a dvd file struct (VIDEO_TS) I have not found how to step to next/previus chapter. I should be implemented.

    Playing a dvd file struct (VIDEOTS) I have not found how to step to next/previus chapter. It should be implemented.
    All older software players like Argosy, xtreamer etc. do that fine.
    I have 7 Tb of movies and concerts. 2/3 of them are VIDEO    TS structs.

  3. Exclude videos by duration from identification

    It would be great to exclude short length(samples, etc.) videos from identification,
    which are less than 5 minutes for example.

  4. extra theme

    Really need to a an extra theme, at least on extra, instead of the red theme.

  6. trailer choice

    The movies that I don't want to have a trailer with will randomly start a trailer.
    Can this be adjusted because with a 2-d film sometimes the trailer of a 3-d film starts and that is just not the intention.
    You must be able to manually choose whether you want a trailer for a movie or not.

  7. Anywhere That I Can "Test Drive" the Zappiti?

    Hi. My name's Dennis. I would like to try the Zappiti out in person to see how it handles different file types, both audio and video, before I buy it but I don't think there's anywhere within 50 miles of me that has it on site. Could you verify that for me?

  10. Offer compatibility w/ WiFi 6 USB adapter with antennas to utilize WiFi 6 speeds

    The new WiFi 5 routers ASUS RT-AX86U can almost stream full 4K Blu-ray rips with just the occasional hiccups on my Zappiti 4K HDR, but there are WiFi 6 adapters for PC & laptops that allow use of higher speed WiFi 6 with software. If you could make it compatible with Zappiti we might be able to stream full 4K Blu-ray!

  12. [Integration] Movie Poster APP

    I love this APP and the feeling like a real cinema by showing on the TV (like a poster) what is it playing now on the theater room or the different movie poster one by one.
    Could be really great to have this feature on zappiti (movieposterapp is the name of the current APP )

  13. [Feature] Multiple Angle option

    Since the start of DVD in the 90's and then Blu Ray in 2006 Players have had an "Angle" button or Option in the menu. It is similar to changing Language or sound with the "Audio" button, or "Subtitle" button. I believe it to be the DVD and Blu Ray IEEE spec. There are many movies that have multiple angles that are not able to been seen with the Zappiti players. For example: Star Wars, Spiderman, Die Hard, Disney - Snow White, Pet Shop Boys Montage, Ghostbusters...

    Display the "Edit related categories" dialog in same arbitrary position order assigned under the “Categories” module. Perhaps provide a system switch to display in "alpha" order (as it currently does) or in "position" order

  17. [Groups] Support Video Wall display setting

    Provide a “Display” setting for each Group, allowing assignment of "Video Wall" display mode when you want to clearly select from all Group members, instead of having to scroll through the "Cover Flow" display mode defaulted for every group

  18. [Personal Videos] Remove icon when displaying text due to no picture

    Since users load Home Movies and Drone Videos (among so much else) via the cool Personal Videos feature, they may choose to differentiate the video by a relevant caption rather than an image. And, it is nice that the system displays the caption (i.e., the filename) for a Personal Video when no picture is assigned :-) However, the system also displays a "projector" icon behind the text that makes it hard to read. There is no value for this icon when text is being displayed, so it should be removed

  19. [Headbands] Support for Showcase and Search results

    Because users differentiate discs for the same movie (e.g., Disc 1, Disc 2, Bonus, 3D, 4K, etc.) with the Headband, the results in the Showcase and Search modules need to incorporate the Headband also, so these different discs are differentiated - don't necessarily want to play the 3D version of Bonus Features disc ;-)

  20. [Headbands] Support color and custom labels

    The newer “Bonus”, “Bonus Disc 1”, “Bonus Disc 2”, “Disc 1”, and “Disc 2” labels are really nice, but they only come with a Black background, so they appear similar to my "4K UltraHD" discs :-( Thus, it would be great if we can assign the color to a Headband, so I could assign "Blue" or "Grey" to these labels when they are BD's or DVD's. And, there are many types of labels that you guys can not foresee, so it would be even nicer to support user custom labels with user custom color selection!
