How can we improve Zappiti?

  1. [Functionality] Name of the sound track

    When I change the sound track I want to see the name of the sound track in the menu. The language and type of the audio track are now displayed. But when you display the name on the screen, you can see who the translator is and so on. Please refine the functionality of outputting the name of the audio track on the screen. Thank you.

  2. [Functionality] Change picture settings during playback

    Most movies have different settings, according to the movie director, and many times we need to change the configuration on the TV.

    Have a option during the playback of the movie to

    Change Brightness
    Change Contrast
    Change Hue
    Change Colours

    this way we wouldn't have to mess with the tv settings
    just for one particular movie (especially if you use a AVR).

  4. [Feature] Child Mode in Zappiti Explorer

    Why go to the effort of creating a Child Mode if it can be bypassed by using Zappiti Explorer? My kids are clever enough to start watching a restricted movie via the Zappiti Explorer. This should to be prevented in a similar way. I suggest an option to PIN lock the Zappiti Explorer application.

  5. [Subtitles] Transparent subtitle menu

    It would be helpful the following idea for the meny of the subtitles:

    1. Allow us to make it transparent in order to see the picture behind when we sync the audio !

    2.Allow to do the same for the movie subs

    1. Since we have 2 keys for the subs Use the subtitle key on the RC just for sync subs + or -

    4.Allow auto to play the subs with more languages since the auto is
    not working if the subs is in different format ANSI etc

    5.Allow to customise a favourite button

  6. [Sort] Collection list alphabetically.

    I have quite a few Collections, one for every hard drive. It would be nice to be able to sort the Collection list alphabetically.

  7. [Synology] Zappiti server : schedule daily collection scan

    Hi,
    Is it possible to add option to (Synology) zappiti server for scheduling movies folders scan instead of scanning with players ?

    The scan of my collection is about 1h long, it will be nice yo schedule it all nights...

  8. [Subtitles] White font subtitle needs stroke

    For white subtitle font we need black stroke/glow because subtitle is not visible if background is too bright. I am coming from old Mede8er media player which had this.

  9. [Integration] Zappiti Server for NAS Netgear

    Please...deploy a ZAPPITI SERVER for NAS NETGEAR...why only SYNOLGY or ASUSTOR ? NETGEAR is the best seller Nas...ASUSTOR is very difficult to buy...i'm waiting ... i hope. Thank you

  10. [Functionality] Add an export option

    Hi,
    It would be good if we could export all movies on our Zappiti player to a PDF file with jacquettes and synopsys.
    For example to send this list to a friend before he comes home to choose the movie he wants to see in advance.

  11. [Image] More aspect ratio options

    Could you add more Aspect Ratio options ? It exists on most players app like VLC : fit vertically, fit horizontally, best fit, or 16:9, 16:10 etc... (because the only ratio you allowed stretches the image horizontally and is not useful...)

    I would love to see trakt.tv integration with your players. Trakt.tv automatically keep track of your recently watched TV shows and movies.

    Its already supported by Plex, Kodi, Popcorn Hour devices and many more.

  14. [Categories] Create folders in the series menu.

    Being able to create folders in the series menu.

    Since I have many different types of content like japanese animes, occidental animes, tv series, etc... It would be nice to have the possibilities to put them in folders inside the series menu and not have them all mixed up.

  16. [Ratio] Many 4:3 Videos were stretched to full format instead Original Aspect Ratio.

    Many 4:3 Videos are streteched to Full format instead the Original Aspect Ratio. This looks terrible. You must always set the right Aspect Ratio in the Video Player manually, because he does not keep the setting.

  17. [Feature] Standby on Power Plugged

    At my house, each night a timer cut the main power and each morning it put it on but I face the problem that unlike all other s device, the zappiti switch ON instead of Standby...
    An option in the menu to allow us to choose the state of the zappiti when plugged in would be welcome :)

    Chez moi, un minuteur coupe le courant chaque nuit et le remets chaque matin mais le probleme est que le zappiti 4K HDR s'allume au lieu de se mettre en veille , comme tout mes autres appareils. Une option dans les menus…

  18. [Integration] Netflix 4k

    I would love to use the Netflix app on the Zappiti mini 4k HDR.
    But the current Netflix app is only providing 720p quality, so that is of no use to me. I can't wait to see an update on that, so 1080p and 4k series can be watched!

  19. [Filter] Save options

    Hello, when i open the Z menu i can put a V in "not seen movies" and when i open ZMP i get just the movies i did not see, just like i want.
    But when i shutdown the Z and start over again, the ZMP will come again whith all movies, seen and not seen.
    I want to save that the ZMP will show me just the not seen movies on start up, or whatever a user wants to see.
    For now not verry smart for a smart device !
