How can we improve Zappiti?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

  1. [Interface] Add Thumbnails in Zappiti Explorer

    Could you please add Thumbnail View Mode for Movie & Music Posters in Explorer? So we just insert .jpg inside for movie folders and show up in Thumbnail mode in case of we have many HDDs and some places we don't have internet connection.

  2. Make Zappiti work without Internet Connection/Cloud server

    Due to problems with the cloud server by Zappiti, the unit does not function anymore. All files are on local storage, but because of outage on the zappiti cloud server the zappity does not work!!!. This is very bad!!!
    Make it to also work without a internet connection.

  3. [Interface] Add favorite folders on the home screen

    Please add the ability to have "Favorite" folders to be placed on the home screen for fast access. I have my own movie scenes and trailers I want to play fast, and not have to open the explorer app everytime I want to watch them.

  5. [Interface] Explorer App Font Size

    Dear Support

    This may be not be the interested subject but i would like to point out from my movie watching experience.

    I have been using many media players and it is my first time with Zappiti , the complaint i want to make it the FONT Size in the Explorer Application where it is very small i must say, we watch movie in big tv and screen and sit far from the screen. The font is way too small below the standard size.

  6. [Filter] Add filters in Zappiti Explorer

    Viewing 100% of all files in a folder is insane. When activating entry into the Explorer, a menu should follow offering a selection of what files to ONLY view in the folders. The options should list: ONLY Videos & only Music & only Pictures, and All files.

  7. [Functionality] Password to protect directory in Zappiti Explorer

    For users that only browse using the Explorer, it would be great to have the feature of password protecting a folder.

    This way parents can create a separate directory for kids to have their own content, and create a separate password protected directory that can have restricted content.

    New Videos in Zappiti Video needs reindexing every time to find new movies.

    I would like to see the option to sort by date in Explorer.

  9. [Functionality] Search in Zappiti Explorer

    Explorer needs a simple search function. I have 20 plus screens to scroll through in one directory, and it takes forever to scroll through all the screens to find what you want. Even just allowing entering the first letter of the folder/file of interest would be a huge help.

  10. [Functionality] Demo Scenes in/from all movies

    Please import some Chapter best of - or bookmarks for some scenes (DEMO) we always keep in mind or shown our friends.
    So we can skip to the best sound&Picture chapters - of all - movies!

  11. [Functionality] Folders (pinning and remembering)

    Explorer should remember the last folder I was in before turning off Zappiti.

    I would also love to be able to pin few (ideally 2-4) folders onto Zappiti main menu, so I wouldn't need to browse to them each time.

  12. [Feature] Child Mode in Zappiti Explorer

    Why go to the effort of creating a Child Mode if it can be bypassed by using Zappiti Explorer? My kids are clever enough to start watching a restricted movie via the Zappiti Explorer. This should to be prevented in a similar way. I suggest an option to PIN lock the Zappiti Explorer application.

  13. Support du Samba smb v2 et v3 sur Zappiti Reference (Explorer)

    Bonjour,
    Merci d'ajouter le support de smb v2 et v3 sur nos Zappiti Reference (et autre Neo/Signature), pour que le lecteur puisse avoir accès aux partages SMB v2 ou v3 sur le réseau, et à des NAS qui ne soient pas Zappiti.
    Dans la documentation commerciale, sur votre site, ici dans le topic, vous indiquez que c'est dispo, ce qui n'est toujours pas le cas.

  14. [Functionality] Ability to easily delete videos from Explorer

    I am often needing to delete small video files from Explorer after viewing. It would be nice to have an easy way to delete files (using the “delete” button on remote) without having to enter the menu, go into Files, scroll down to Delete, and then confirm. If this could be done using the delete button, or have a remote code we could use for Harmony to drop directly into the delete function - that would also work. Thank you.

    I use the Zappiti Explorer most of the time, but the fontsize is very small. Is there a way the increse the fontsize.

  18. Remote explorer app for SE model

    It would be useful to have the ability to play files using a remote iOS or Android app without having to use the on screen menus. This will enable users to sequence videos for a presentation without the audience seeing the search for individual files .

    This is particularly useful where you worked like to show trailers, featurettes in addition to the main movie. Having to use the on screen menus all the time looks amateurish in those situations

  20. [Windows] Local Accounts

    Most Windows 10 64-Bit OS is primed for one account only ie Administrator but no Local Accounts. I think Zappiti has to change
    software a bit for those who do not have Local Accounts
