Subtitles in Grey
It would be nice to have a greyish color for subtitles. I watch HDR movies at night and the white subtitles are way too bright. Grey would help , and even transparent
thanks

Totally agree, it is almost unbearable

Same here, I have to use black which looks ridiculous on HDR content. All my other devices offer gray color or brightness as an option.

Totaly agree with all of you but I see Zappiti guys are not doing anything to fix this. It is now two years from the original idea. I just purchased LG C9 TV and when wathing HDR, subtitles are too bright. Curently I am using yellow subtitle color because it is the best for now to use because of lack of the font stroke. I see many ideas here for improving subtitles options but they are not doing anything to fix this problem and for media players it is very important to have more options for subtitle fonts style, specialy adding shadow or stroke.

I took the habit to watch my movies with yellow subtitles, but since I watch HDR movies now, yellow subtitles are so bright it's unbearable… and switching to white doesn't really solve the issue.
So, indeed, new subtitle colour scheme elaborated for HDR would be much appreciated :) -

This still needs fixing. Grey subtitle color is really needed for HDR material.

Totally agree...on HDR content and dark scenes white subtitles are too bright.
Please add custom mode or grey color for subtitles. -

Agreed! There seem to be subtitle options that might help the laser-in-your-eyes brightness of the current subtitles when viewing HDR, but they're all, ironically, greyed out.

Totally agree with Robert's comment.
Please fix this. -

The problem is black/grey stroke which surrounds subtitle font. It needs to be more thick so subtitle can be seen on bright background. Currently subtitle visibility is bad when background is bright. You need to fix this.
