Standby Function for HDD with network access
Also, has anyone figured a way to put Zappiti in proper standby? I use the top button on their remote, as per the manual said, to place it on standby instead of turning it off but the network access (SMB) for my external USB hdd does not work with it supposedly on standby. Greatly appreciate your thoughts and any help!
I totally agree with the users that commented before: Zappiti, please integrate real standby mode! Make USB HDDs via SMB available for the network, when player is in standby!
I have just the same problem: I need to have the HDDs (directly connectet to the zappiti via USB) to be available via SMB while the zappiti is in standby. Anyone came up with a solution? Zappiti does not seem to be able to solve this on their own...
Android just sucks. Everthing basod on Android becomes crap. Nothing works as expected and what's more important: Nothing works as promised. But I do not believe that all problems would be gone, if I would switch to a Dune of the newest generation (which most probably will also suffer from crappy Android). If one wants a really reliable player that actually does what it is supposed to do, nowadays the only alternative seems to be some intel NUC with Unix/Kody, which requires a lot of handicraft work. Today, even top manufacturers do only build Android crap.
I have also the issue with videos stuttering (videos that run totally smooth on my old Dune 303D) und AAC audio not routed via SPDIF, but only via HDMI. It just sucks.
Please, implement real standby mode..

I have the same problem with my Zappiti One 4K HDR.
Anyone came up with a solution how to make the SMB (and HDDs directly connected to the Zappiti) availble via SMB while the Zappiti is in Standby?
This used to work properly without problems with my old Dune 303D...
Since I "updated" to the *******, I got the feeling of beeing used as beta-tester. Crap Android. Sudden crashes of almost every part on this crap system. Nothing works as expected. Good hardware specs and promised features. But android makes it all just crap.
