[Functionality] Content Aware Shuffle
Content Aware Shuffle:
- Option to Shuffle movies, not randomly, but to bring next to the currently selected movie (on the posterwall screen), movies related to selected movie; i.e., related by director, actor, actress, title, genre, etc. Maybe map it to one of the colored programmable buttons.
Content Aware Shuffle can bring a whole new life to your movie collection and help users watch their large/huge movie collection. Which is the whole point to having a digital home media center, so ones doesn't have to look through their entire collection before finding something they actually are in the mood to watch that day.
For example:
You're on the posterwall screen, scrolling through movies, and come across 'Terminator 2'.
You think, "I'm in the mood to watch a movie with Arnold Schwarzenegger, but I've saw 'Terminator 2' last week".
You press the 'Content Aware Shuffle' button, and Zappiti shuffles the movies on screen and bring next to 'Terminator 2', all the Schwarzenegger movies in your collection, as well as, other movies with that movie's title, director, genre, etc.
And you come across an old gem or a movie you forgot about, like 'Red Heat'.
It's a very useful and enjoyable feature.

When I want to listen music videos in continous or shuffle mode, I have to use for this purpose my iomega media-player which is outdated already for years. How come that zappiti is incapable to perform these basic funcions? Troublesome to change connection cables all the times.
