New User Best Practices
I am a prospective new user with approximately 2500 ISO files of movies and TV Series.
Per the Quick Start guide I need to create a Movie and TV Series folder on my SYNOLOGY NAS. Currently all of files are stored in individual TV Series folders and are named SeriesNameS1D1.iso. It appears that I will need to modify them to SeriesName s01e01.iso. Is this correct?
I am moving from a system that currently has three NetGear NeoTV550 media players that are connected via Ethernet to a SYNOLOGY DS1815+ NAS. All of my media files are stored in a NAS Share called Video. This system has worked well for many years but the NetGear NeoTV550's are failing and no longer supporterd.

The Zappiti One SE 4K HDR came in early and I have it connected to my network via a wired Ethernet Connection.
I have the Zappiti connected and it has finished scanning all of the files and is now in the process of identifying them.
Thanks for the information on the folder names fort each TV Series. I will start checking the TVDB to make sure my names are correct.
The name of the folder you use doesn't matter, when you go into the settings and click the "Add a folder containing movies" button, it can be any folder with movies. You could have 10 movie folders, you just have to add 10 file paths using the same method, folder name to find the content is not relevant, just the name of the actual content being scanned.
Same with TV shows, name the highest level folder whatever you want, as long as the show name folders match TVDB names for the show.
G:\This Folder Can Be Anything\24\Season 1\24 S01E01.mkv for instance

Thank you for the reply and the link which has brought up additional questions.
In the manual (Quick Start Guide) they mention using the folders MOVIE, SERIES and TV SHOWS. The knowledgebase article refers to MOVIES, SERIES or TVSHOWS.
Which one is correct?
I am beginning to think that my "old" Netgear NeoTV550 was a lot easier to configure but will reserve my final judgement until I actually get the Zappiti hardware.
Each ISO files for a TV series should be named according to the number of episodes it contains.
Example: If you have an ISO file from a Blu-ray disc that contains the first three episodes of the TV show "Sherlock", you have to name it this way "Sherlock S01E01 S01E02 S01E03.iso".
If you have movies & TV shows in the same folder, it'll be too hard for Zappiti to scan and identify content, as TMDB and TVDB won't be able to figure out what's what. 2 folders works best, then just identify the type of content in each folder.
