Cannabis & other [legal] recreational drugs on SSRIs
So I've been medicated now for about 4 months on 20mg of, well, me, [username] (40-50 was suggested but I decided to start low and see how it works out). (I'm only on this medication, most anecdotes of bad reactions are on several medications.) I've had a bad habit of treating myself like a test subject this past month:
I've tried drinking (after a long break) while on this medication and I was fine.
I've taken 3g of psilocybin and was fine, (minus the horrible 2 day headache).
The issue is the internet is trying to convince me Cannabis and SSRI mixing is dangerous due to serotonin syndrome which sounds kind of wacky. I always get mania whenever I take 'drugs', even before of I was on SSRIs so I expect that to be overwhelming but that alone. Any mood altering state can increase the good feeling chemical serotonin, so I'm curious. I look somewhere else online and it says it's fine to mix, only stating that you'll get exaggerated symptoms of cannabis. Which mind you is very far from Serotonin Syndrome which can be life-threatening and a medical emergency. Cannabis is the 15th most popular recreational drug in the world and upwards of 15-20% of the entire population is on some form of SSRI.
I took my meds about an hour ago and am going to disprove this nothingburger in about 10 minutes. For science.
Have you had any bad experiences on SSRIs and Cannabis / other drugs?

I don't think it's good to be guided by the information from the Internet. Everything written on the Internet seems far more frightening than it means. So it is better to talk to more doctors and listen to their advice. I was also prescribed some SSRIs (these are the most commonly prescribed antidepressants) when I was dealing with depression. The doctors told me that I was not allowed to drink alcohol or consume drugs at that time. They only recommended some Delta 8 THC Gummies -https://www.tillmanstranquils.com/product/600mg-delta-8-gummies/ to help me if I sleep badly. These recommended gummies have a CBD effect, but Delta 8 differs from CBD. It is much healthier. So listen to the doctors' advice, but not the internet.
