How can we improve Zappiti?

    Hi,

    If you would be able to integrate a Roon Multichannel endpoint (HDMI) with CEC Volume control to the Amplifier... I would immediately order one! I’ve red somewhere that you’re checking this out!

  4. [Feature] Stop Info display for movie navigation actions

    There is an awesome ask that was provided, which eliminates the movie info information from being displayed when you pause a movie (works great). I’m a bit baffled as to why the next step wasn’t taken - but I’d love to see the same thing applied to actions like chapter jump, FF/RW, and P +/- (the short jumps). I can see how some people might want chapter jumps to keep the info display up (and maybe others wouldn’t want this at all), but I’d at least like to have the option.   5. [Subtitles] SSA/ASS subtitle support.

    Please add appropriate support for SSA/ASS-type subtitles, if not as an update, then in future hardware please. It is tedious having to re-encode many MKVs with burned-in subs in order to watch many shows correctly on my current Zappiti 4K HDR Pro, which these MKVs play back fine on software players with appropriately rendered SSA subs.

  6. [Feature] Ability to mirror dual hard drives, to prevent data loss

    Since the Zappiti Pro 4K HDR can seat 2 hard drives, each being up to 16TB, it would be very handy if there was the options to mirror the HDDs in a RAID 1 configuration to prevent losing 16TB worth of movies and music.

  8. [Format] Support for 1:33 on SD files

    This was a big unhappy surprise about Zappiti, DVD players have no trouble displaying a 1:33 Movie or TV from a 16x9 dvd ,But Zappiti can't
    do it ,and you have to convert the Film and lose all menus

  9. [Audio] Nuplayer support with gapeless option and smooth playing in Zappiti Music and Zappiti Explorer

    Audio files sound is delivered on output only after 3 seconds in the Native Player and after 1 second in Nuplayer. Both players are having 3 seconds gape between tracks.Smooth playing option is not possible.

  10. [Functionality] A Play All button for a file(not a TV Show)

    While The way the play next function for a tv series sometimes doesn't work that great ,with delays I would like a function that does the same thing for videos in a folder (thats not in TV Shows folder)

    Can you make white subs with some shadow arround the letters? This can be easy to read when the movie has white screen like snow or something! Thank you!

  12. [Subtitles] Height that will adapt to the aspect ratio

    I find myself often changing the subtitle height for an external subtitle to fit the image : 30 for a 16/9 movie, 130 for a 2.35 movie so it doesn't appear in the black bars but on the image itself. It can be kind of annoying to have to change when I switch back and forth between movies and Tv Shows.

    Would it be possible to program something like "subtitle height memory", the Zappiti will remember preferred subtitles height for each different Aspect Ratio or some way to detect black bars and automatically adjust the subtitles above them ?

  13. [Feature] More options for HDR to SDR conversion

    I would like more options with the HDR to SDR conversion feature. For example, a way to set the number of target Nits and store this value in the Zappiti player for each movie.

    The Panasonic UB9000 player has two projector HDR Optimizer mode, so you get “Projector Basic Luminance” that tone maps to 350Nits and the “Projector High Luminance” that maps HDR to 500Nits. In my configuration, the Panasonic player does a better job with 350 Nits than the Zappiti so I think that providing more options would help the Zappiti video rendering with HDR content on SDR screens.

  14. [Format] AV1 Video Codec

    Hi please add support for AV1 video codec. It's an open, royalty-free video coding format. I found that there are more and more video files using AV1, which currently I am not able to playback using the player with my Zappiti One 4K HDR. Thank you.

  15. [Navigation] Better menu support

    I wish the menu support and navigation could be improved
    I first thought that the reason the still frame section on a blue ray wouldn’t work ,was because of my file ,then I moved it back to my computer and
    Burned a blue ray ,put it in my disc player,and it worked fine

    Hitting the play button on DVDs on the Zappiti could be improved

  16. [Metadata] MaxCLL/MaxFALL activation metadata for OLED

    The metadata MaxCLL/MaxFALL is 0 as I think and please activate it .
    This is a problem with the OLED tvs .
    Lowest media players have it and we have the best media player and we don't have it

  17. [Subtitles] Foreign Parts

    Many movies are predominately in one language but then introduce some instances of a second language. Subtitles are available from sites such as Subscene.com for the Foreign Parts Only but Zappiti only downloads the full main language subs. Movies like The DaVinci Code, The Last Samurai, Angels and Demons, Thor The Dark World all have instances of a second language spoken; understanding these 'parts' are instrumental in following the plot. In the absence of forced subtitles, this would be good.

  18. [Integration] Improve Tidal Audio and Video streaming from Aptoide

    Tidal is a great quality audio and video streaming platform. I wish that the 4K Pro would work as well a AppleTV.

  19. [Feature] Resume playback across multiple players

    I have several Zappiti. I often start a film in the living room and later continue watching in the bedroom. It is a pity that the resume function is not saved and synchronized on the server in order to be able to use it across multiple players. Is it possible to do that?

    hi end product use toroidal transformer but not EI transformer. A good toroidal transformer can bring audio and video quality to next level.
