How can we improve Zappiti?

  1. [Security] Zappiti Cloud (app) via HTTPS

    It would be better if the Zappiti Cloud connects via HTTPS instead of HTTP. That way the connection is more secure.

  2. [Functionality] Unmount function

    I have a request for the up coming update. Can you please place a short cut for a UNMOUNT icon/function on the main screen (or Z Movie screen)?? Majority of us using external hdds to store/watch movies. To disconnect/remove the drives without unmounted would corrupt/destroy the drives. Going into Setting-storage...etc.. to unmount everytime is too complicated. Or can you program 1 of the color buttons on the remote to function as UNMOUNT hdd?? Since I started using the Zappiti, my USB drives were required to be scanned/fixed (by the PC) everytime they were removed/disconnected

  3. [HDR] Add dynamic HDR (dynamic gamma / tone mapping) optimization like Panasonic HDR optimizer

    Especially for projectors which are limited in light output it is crucial to have a adaption of the gamma curve for HDR.
    Otherwise the picture will be way to dark.
    The best technical solution in the market is currently the Panasonic HDR optimizer.
    It would be very helpful to have a similar feature in Zappiti.

  4. [Interface] Make menus and screen HDR colors

    Please make menus and screen in HDR colours, so Projector can stay in HDR mode so that icons and video wall looks correct.

  5. [Feature] Automatic 3D switch

    Could you implement the automatic 3D switch feature for mkv files based, for example, in the name (for example,3DSBS for side by side and 3DTD for top down). Popcorn hour has this for years and it is very handy. I really miss this feature, and having to go through 3D options in both the zappiti and the TV each time I want to see a 3D movie is exhausting.

  7. [Synopsis] Display manual subtitle

    It would be nice to show subtitle indications on movie/serie summary that is not only based on encoded subs, but also on extra .srt files in the same folder, following the given format.

  8. [Integration] Home Cinema Smart lighting profile control on play, pause and movie end

    I Wish my home cinema lights could be integrated to play and pause on Zappiti media player. I use xioami lighting system in my room and have to change the room mood manually on every time i am playing, so i think it would be so cool if this all could be integrated.

  9. [Audio] Increase volume steps from 15 to 100

    Currenty the volume control only goes from 1 to 15 so not much of a range i own other players which are stll android based that go from 1 to 100 so you have more control and steps in volume which is really handy if listening through headphones as you can adjust with the remote.
    This allows much more control over the volume steps

  10. [Video playback] Add the term of the chapter

    when the menu is opened (during playback of blu-ray content) and the chapters can be selected, the chapters are displayed with their own running time and not the position in the film.

    like:
    chapter: 01/28 00:08:12
    chapter: 02/28 00:05:45
    chapter: 03/28 00:03:32
    ...

    the correct indication would be the following:
    chapter: 01/28 00:08:12
    chapter: 02/28 00:13:57
    chapter: 03/28 00:17:29
    ...

    it would be nice if that be implemented. thx

  12. [HDR] HDR10+ support

    There are a few titles that support the newest dynamic metadata format HDR10+ so it would be fantastic to add its support to a future firmware release. MKV container should be fine as well as M2TS files.

  13. [Remote] HDMI CEC: Menu button

    Hey Zappiti people
    I love using all my devices with one remote and HDMI CEC is a blessing for this... but for the Zappiti I need to keep the remote around for one function only: the menu button. If I want to use any of the functions hidden behind the menu button I can't use my TV's remote as none of the buttons seem to be mapped to this function.
    Could this button be mapped to a more convenient and universal button like 'guide' or the colour buttons (which are currently not used). Or even crazier: let users map CEC…

  14. [Integration] Route audio via USB or another app?

    I use a Chord Mojo USB audio interface for high quality audio. Using UAPP app to drive it at maximum sample rates etc. I've installed this on the Zappiti so can listen to music OK with it but cannot select it as an output using Zappiti Video so I have to unplug my audio system from the high quality Mojo and plug it directly into the Zapitti AV out which s disappointing.
    Support of audio output to USB DACs such as the Mojo would be great or would it be possible to just send Audio via the UAPP app? That…

  15. [Feature] Night mode on DRC

    The evening and the night, the volume of sound of actions such as explosions is too loud.
    Is it possible to add a night mode to control the Dynamic Range Compression (DRC)?

    I would like to point out that I have a hi-fi amplifier that does not have this feature.

  16. [Group] Organize movie extras within the same movie

    When a movie is stored in a folder along with another folder containing Extras for that movie, it would be nice if the interface groups these automatically together. Inside the main folder, there would be an option to play the movie or open the Extras folder and select a video from there. Currently this has to be done manually so it would be nice if it's done automatically.

  19. [Video] Make the colors more vivid & accurate for HDR > SDR Tone mapping

    Colours are less punchy and "off" compared to the Blu ray counter parts and other tone mapping conversions.
    Eg. red is too orange.
    Look at 44:30 minutes in on Johnny English Strikes Again - the news reel.
    Hugh Jackman's red coat at the beginning of The Greatest Showman etc.
