How can we improve Zappiti?

  2. [Feature] USB 3.0 Expansion

    I bought the Zappiti One 4K HDR Players, and it is great. However, I'm running into a limitation of 5 USB drives using a USB expansion drive. It should supports as many drive as an expansion drive has and right now it is a severe limitation for people with a lot of external USB drives. Please add this to next patch/release.

  3. [Integration] Savant support

    I love the idea of this product, and its much more affordability against comptetitors like kaleidescape. Was wondering if there are any plans for making drivers for Savant control system?

  4. [Feature] Allow RAW/passthrough/bitstream audio AND video output

    So it would be possible to use the HDMI IN port on the rear of another player (Oppo for example). The native signal from the external source (Zappiti) could be processed by another player to take advantage of the player's built- in audio and video processing capabilities. Zap's Interface with Oppo's rendering (vivid colors, sharp image) would be fantastic (worked great with my popcorn hour C-200)

  5. [Functionality] Remember the playback parameters

    That Zappiti Video remembers the playback parameters separately for each video used for the last time.

    • The chosen audio track.
    • The subtitle chosen and its size, delay, color ...

  6. [Identification] Add local Extras folder to Associated Content

    In case you have "Extras" folder in the same folder of a mkv movie file or TV Show.

    Options:

    • Choose the name of the folder so that the system detects it. For example "Extras", "Associated content"...
    • A mark indicating that there is local associated content on the page of the synopsis and information.

  7. [Subtitles] Add Grey color

    It would be nice to have a greyish color for subtitles. I watch HDR movies at night and the white subtitles are way too bright. Grey would help , and even transparent

  9. [Functionality] Usb Hub support with fixed ports

    I am using mini and I need a huge storage for remuxes. I also would like use the 3.0 port instead of 2.0s. So I bought a 3.0 hub with 7 ports and attach 2 external drives (8TB) I was planning to add more when needed.

    However, it's impossible to use Usb hub with zappiti. Hub assigns random ports every time you disconnect and reconnect the external drives or keeps changing the port in every boot so directory is always changes then your collection is gone.

    Could developers make an automatic remapping script so the Zappiti can always recognize the…

  10. [Integration] Netflix 4k

    I would love to use the Netflix app on the Zappiti mini 4k HDR.
    But the current Netflix app is only providing 720p quality, so that is of no use to me. I can't wait to see an update on that, so 1080p and 4k series can be watched!

  13. [Image] More aspect ratio options

    Could you add more Aspect Ratio options ? It exists on most players app like VLC : fit vertically, fit horizontally, best fit, or 16:9, 16:10 etc... (because the only ratio you allowed stretches the image horizontally and is not useful...)

  15. [Ratio] Many 4:3 Videos were stretched to full format instead Original Aspect Ratio.

    Many 4:3 Videos are streteched to Full format instead the Original Aspect Ratio. This looks terrible. You must always set the right Aspect Ratio in the Video Player manually, because he does not keep the setting.

  16. [Functionality] Standby Function for HDD with network access

    Also, has anyone figured a way to put Zappiti in proper standby? I use the top button on their remote, as per the manual said, to place it on standby instead of turning it off but the network access (SMB) for my external USB hdd does not work with it supposedly on standby. Greatly appreciate your thoughts and any help!

  17. [Feature] Automatically recognize external HDD and switches to the collection belonging to that HDD

    I have about 20 external HDD's with Movies and TV shows. I created a seperate collection for each HDD. I have to select this collection manually each time a switch to an other external HDD. It would be much easier if my Zappiti recognises the external HDD and switches to the collection belonging to that HDD!
    This. or a movie wall option in Zapitti Explorer would be much appreciated.

  19. [Subtitles] Transparent subtitle menu

    It would be helpful the following idea for the meny of the subtitles:

    1. Allow us to make it transparent in order to see the picture behind when we sync the audio !

    2.Allow to do the same for the movie subs

    1. Since we have 2 keys for the subs Use the subtitle key on the RC just for sync subs + or -

    4.Allow auto to play the subs with more languages since the auto is
    not working if the subs is in different format ANSI etc

    5.Allow to customise a favourite button
