Force the UI resolution

For certain cases, particularly when the Zappiti media player is switched on before the TV, the Zappiti start-up in 1080p resolution instead of UHD (security in the absence of the EDID signal).To force the resolution of the UHD drive at startup, do the following:

1. On the home page (Home button on the remote), click the MyApps button at the top of the page.

2. In MyApps, click on the Service app (Zappiti Service), illustrated by a "Z" with wrenches.



3. In the first tab of Zappiti Service you will find the option to configure the "Force Resolution" function. By default, the settings are set to Auto. You can choose to force the resolution to 1080p or 3840x2160 in 23.976, 50 or 60 Hz (59.94 Hz). Then, click on the "Apply the resolution" button. For security reason, a validation screen with a countdown will allow you to cancel your choice if the chosen resolution is incompatible with your TV. You have 10 seconds to validate your choice, otherwise it will be atomatically cancelled. 


Unlock the forced resolution


If you have forced the resolution in Ultra HD but have connected your Zappiti media player to a 1080p TV, no picture will be displayed (black screen). To unblock the resolution and return to automatic resolution, follow these steps:

Procedure 1:
1. Turn on your Zappiti 4K HDR player.
2. Wait 40 seconds.
3. Press the "Explorer" button on the remote control.
4. Wait 10 seconds.
5. Press the "Red" and then "1" then "2" then "3" buttons on the remote control.

Procedure 2:
1. Turn on your Zappiti 4K HDR player.
2. Wait 40 seconds.
3. Disconnect and reconnect the HDMI terminal = The image appears.
4. Go to "My Apps" then "Zappiti Service" = The picture disappears.
5. Disconnect and reconnect the HDMI terminal = The image appears.
6. Change the resolution (1080p or Auto) and confirm by clicking on the Apply Resolution button.
