[identification] Prerequisites for proper identification (rules for naming folders and video files)

For movies


 
To set up a folder of movies in your collection, and to be clearly identified, these conditions must be respected:
The folder that contains your movies must be named "MOVIES".
The video files contained in this folder must be named with the title of the corresponding movies.
Example: the movie "Avatar" must be named "Avatar.iso" or "Avatar.mkv" or "Avatar.mp4", etc.
When setting up the film folder in your collection, you must select the "Add a folder containing movies" option.

Note: To display the technical information banner (4K, 3D, UHD, etc.) on the jacket, you must indicate the reference in the title.

Example: the movie "Avatar" must be named "Avatar 4K.iso" to see the 4K banner appear at the top of the jacket.


For TV series



To set up a TV show folder in your collection, and to be clearly identified, these conditions must be respected:
The folder that contains your TV shows must be named "SERIES" or "TVSHOWS".
The video files contained in this folder must be named with the title of the TV show as well as the indication of the season and episode number.
Example: Episode 1 of season 3 of the series "Sherlock" must be named "Sherlock s03e01" or "Sherlock 03x01".
When setting up the film folder in your collection, you must select the option "Add a folder containing TV shows".

If you have a video file that contains multiple episodes you have to indicate all the season and episodes numbers in the title.
Example: If you have an ISO file from a Blu-ray disc that contains the first three episodes of the TV show "Sherlock", you have to name it this way "Sherlock S01E01 S01E02 S01E03.iso".


For personal videos



To set up a folder of personal videos (vacation movies, family events, etc.) in your collection, these conditions must be respected:
The folder that contains your personal videos should not be named "MOVIES" or "SERIES", and should be kept separate from these folders.
When setting up the personal videos folder in your collection, you must select the "Add a folder containing personal videos" option.
