[Video Settings] How to Set the Resolution And Auto-Framerate of the Zappiti Player 4K

By default, the Player Zappiti Player 4K is set in "auto mode" in the video settings. You can change these settings in "Settings / Display / TV System".

1080p for US / Japanese users
If you have a 1080p TV or front projector, we recommend you set the video mode to "Auto mode". If your TV or projector is compatible 24p, please check the "1080p 24Hz" option. 30p and 60i/p contents will be displayed in 60p. The 24p contents suh as BD ISO or M2TS will be displayed in 23,976 Hz outpout.

DVD to 24p (NTSC content)
In "Auto mode" DVD content in NTSC are displayed in 60 Hz. If you want to benefit from the "NTSC to 24p" feature, please set manually your video settings to "1080p @ 24Hz". The Zappiti Player 4K will apply an "Invert 3:2 Pulldown" filter to convert the NTSC (60 Hz) in 24 Hz outpout.

1080p for European users
If you have a 1080p TV or front projector, we recommend you set the video mode to "1080p @ 50Hz". If your TV or projector is compatible with 24p, please check the "1080p 24Hz" option.
Note: during PAL DVD content plaback, the output frequency is 50 Hz. The 23.976p contents such as Blu-ray ISO or M2TS will be displayed in 23,976 Hz outpout.
Warning! The frequency switch process may be long on some TV or projector. The switch process can be from less than one second (such as on Samsung front projectors) to several seconds (such as on Epson or JVC front projectors).

4K TV
The Zappiti Player 4K is not abble to display 3840x2160 resolution at 50 or 60 Hz frequency. Indeed, the maximum output frequency is limited to 30 Hz. To benefit from auto-framerate, please manually set the video mode to "3840x2160p @ 30Hz" and check the "24p" option. When you will launch 23.976p files playback, the Zappiti Player 4K will switch from 30 Hz to 23,976 Hz. During DVD playback, the player will offer to switch to 1080p in order to display a higher frequency than 30 Hz.

TV with 4K upscaling TV
If you have a 4K TV and want to enjoy the upscaling of your TV instead of Zappiti Player 4K upscaling, please select the "1080p @ 50Hz" option and check "1080p 24Hz" option. The Zappiti Player 4K will release the 1920x1080 resolution, which will be scaled by your 4K TV or front projector.
