HappyCast > AirPlay / Android Mirroring: How To Set It.

Since b7 firmware version (2016.04.06), the Zappiti Player 4K offers a mirroring function for sending the picture and / or sound from your iPhone, iPad or iMac on your Zappiti Player 4K via a simple Wi-Fi (up to 1080p). This option also works on Android via a dedicated application to download. To enjoy this amazing feature, please follow the installation instructions steps here:

Apple Users:

With AirPlay, the configuration is simplified for Apple users compared to Android users because all Apple devices feature AirPlay technology including iPhone, iPad, iMac or Mac Book.

1. First, make sure your Zappiti Player 4K player has the latest firmware update (firmware). Unlike updates Zappiti and Zappiti Explorer applications, firmware need to be updated via USB flash memory stick. To check the current version of your firmware, go to the player settings and then in the "About" at the bottom of the page and locate "Build number" which should be:
rtk_phoenix-ENG4. 4 KRT 160 eng.tony.20160406

The number at the end (20160406) corresponds to the version of firmware installed in your player. If the firmware number does not match, please follow the firmware update instructions here:

2. In your Zappiti Player 4K, launch the app "Happy cast" in located in "My Apps" section (top button on the home page of the Zappiti Player 4K).

Warning! If the app can not be updated, then quit and restart one, then try again to update the app. Repeat this several times until it works.

4. Once the upgrade is complete, please restart the Happycast app then click on "Setup" button.

5. Set the field name by typing a zone name (eg "Zappiti lounge") in the dedicated field.

6. Please choose the desired resolution (1920x1080 recommended for fixed pictures and slide shows, and 1280x720 recommended for video games streaming).

7. Select "Framerate" ON if you want to display the image transmission rate on the bottom right of the screen. We highly recommend disabling this option (OFF).

8. Choose "Mirroring" ON if you want all your device screen displayed on your TV. Select "Mirroring" OFF if you want to send only the sound.

9. On your Apple device, tap the AirPlay option. For iPhone and iPad, this option is located in the bottom bar (finger slid upward from the bottom of the screen). The image and sound will then be deported to your TV via the Zappiti Player 4K. If you chose "Mirroring" OFF, only the audio will be deported.

Note: your Zappiti Player 4K and your Apple device must both be on the same local network. If you use an iPad or iPhone, you must connect via Wi-Fi to the same local network as the one the Zappiti Player 4K is connected.
