What device? Zappiti Player and Video aren't storage devices, they just stream from a storage device. It won't replace your NAS.

It's incredibly strange for Year to be missing when it's such important metadata.

Why can't the CSV just jump all DB fields, including categories as well?

I find it odd that things with 1-2 votes are in R&D or Under Review while those with dozens of votes don't even have a staff comment yet, like the subtitle one directly after this.

I thought the whole point of getting rid of the forum and moving to a user vote system was that users help drive development. Yet that doesn't seem the case.

Why ask us to post here and vote if it's not a vote-based system?

It's unfortunate to head you say you won't upload content to TMDB when your entire movie catalog is based off their images in the first place.

As they lost content, the request was simply to help them restore what you originally took from them anyway.

Poor form. I expected better given how much they have helped Zappiti become what it is today.

I did a search on Das Boot online and can't find an original TV series. Wikipedia says the movie was also aired as a miniseries. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Das_Boot

There's nothing online about a TV series in 1981, on IMDB or any other site that I could find.

You mean Possible Worlds, season 2 of Cosmos 2014? https://www.thetvdb.com/series/cosmos-a-spacetime-odyssey/seasons/official/2

Name it Cosmos (2014) S02E0x episodes and it should scrape fine.

Stop wasting your votes on this, the HDR chipsets don't support a higher version.

From Christophe "About Android, the HDR models are using version 6. Not possible to use up-to-date version as it is not supported by the chipset."

    Regarding lip sync:

"Only the Sigma Designs chipset had this function. The Realtek chopset does not." This is applicable to pre-HDR models of Zappiti Player.

With the HDR models - "The new Zappiti 4K HDR support the lip sync function so you do not need any audio correction."

"Lip Sync is auto adjust. manual adjust is not Lip Sync."

"The lipsync is a function to perfectly sync the audio and the video. It works fine at 90%. It could not fine if you have extreme audio processing that takes more than 10 ms (ex. dynamic phasing crossover option on Trinov AV receiver)."

Basically it's as good as it's going to get. Audio correction from the old days is dead, you're going to have to hope the lip sync feature works, because manual intervention to adjust isn't going to happen.

v3 and earlier allowed you to manually sort groups, but they removed the functionality with no reason or vote from users a couple years ago.

A shame because of the exact reason you mentioned. MCU is another example, the standard release date or alphabetic order makes no sense in these instances.

I had this problem in October 2018 so the fix may not be exact but this is what I discussed with support.

Add a movie back to the group you want to remove, then right click the group/saga and click Delete Group.

The movie in the group will go back to being a standalone film and the group will no longer appear in the list of groups.

Strange to see the bug still exists after 18 months. At the time they said it was a known issue with no scheduled fix. Not bad for something you've paid top dollar for eh? :/

You can add as many TV or Movie folders as you want, just go to the Folders screen in Settings. I have multiple for Movies setup because they are in different locations.

I don't understand how existing functionality gets so many votes?

Your best option is probably going to be using some custom categories or creating sagas per country. You'll have to manually group them, but I suspect it'll be the only way to do what you're after from a country grouping perspective.

So I was browsing Movies tonight and noticed I have a Sort option for Recent Additions from newest to oldest, or oldest to newest, and it shows ALL titles.

I was told this option wasn't available when I contacted Zappiti Support, which is why they made these changes to Recent and removed the option to limit it.

If the option is in fact there, why can't we then set a limit? Why was the limit removed to provide functionality that already exists elsewhere in a Sort menu?

    Six66Mike commented  ·

If you want Recent as your Showcase, you can't use it because it takes far too long to load. It also takes much longer to load the Recent module when it has to pull 500 titles, regardless how many pages you view. It has to preload as many pages as there are so it responds quickly.

How does having a user defined limit (by number of titles or days since adding) hurt anyone who doesn't want this? They can just set null value 0 and have endless. But the thing is, they have that choice. Like we used to.

A user selected limit is the ideal option, either by number of titles to max out or a date added cut-off. ZMC was date added and you can set the number of days, not sure if there was a max limit but I usually had 30-45 days.

Then rename it, it's no longer recent if you added it 2 years ago and thousands of titles ago, is it?

It's absurd to have this when you have hundreds of TV series and thousands of movies.

Also worth noting, if you have Recent as your showcase module, it becomes unusable unless you like spending 5 minutes waiting for pages to load.

This is the best image I could find of the RC - https://www.avforums.com/image.php?imageparameters=editorial/products/ca02763e93d8396ec5c4097f6cb25e08_9960.jpg

Use the top and bottom part of the circle. Top is fast forward, bottom is rewind. Press multiple times for 1x, 2x, 4x, 8x speed (maybe more, I haven't gone higher than 8x).

Left and right will let you skip 1 minute ahead or back, up and down will do a proper FF/RE scan.

The older players used to let you jump ahead at like 10 minute intervals but best I can tell 1 minute is the only option to skip ahead with the latest players.

Try the Contact Support form instead of posting this as a suggestion. It's a bug that should be reported. I've reported enough this week and the response has been underwhelming, so maybe you try and see what happens.

Everything is labour intensive, they have forgotten how to make a positive user experience with their product.

I support option 2, but I have no votes left to help you out. I want to have multiple selection options and be able to run an action on that selected set of content. It's common sense and I thought basic functionality for applications spanning decades.

I have been chatting with support about this today. ZMC used to do this, if it found episodes not scanned it would group them to series and you could then bulk scan the whole thing. I can't add attachments in comments, but i have screenshots showing this. 10 episodes of 1 show missing, it allows you to identify the one show then it identifies all 10 episodes, you don't need to manually select through one by one.

I had to spend half the night sifting through 60 episodes of 1 show because this feature was removed. And instead of bringing it back, I have to come try to vote it back into existence, because a positive user experience is apparently not what we're looking for here.

The worst part is when you identify the show and go to select the episode, it's already predicted the right one every single time. It's wasted effort to click OK to select the show then OK again to confirm the episode is identified right. Once you confirm the show, everything else is correct.

BRING BACK THE OLD FUNCTIONALITY!!! Stop this one by one nonsense, it's bloody ridiculous.

Has this been implemented? I noticed when deleting files in my watch folder they seem to be removed from Zappiti Video as well.

In the old version it scanned and you confirmed if you wanted to remove it. If your scenario happened, you simply don't click OK (you had to open the Identification screen and click a few buttons) and avoid losing anything.

In older versions it was 2 tabs, but you could still only do one at a time. I believe it shouldn't kick you out of this menu as soon as you select an image, there should be an OK button and it should allow you to select Cover and Background before clicking OK.

If I had more votes I would give it to this, it's the reason I came here today. Allow users to select both images at the same time before exiting the screen.
